Addiction treatment programs in Colombia

One continuum, three connected stages.

Colombia Treatment Center is designing its care as a single pathway rather than separate products. Each stage is planned to hand off clearly to the next, so patients and families always know what comes after.

How the planned levels of care fit together

Recovery rarely follows a straight line, and the right starting point depends on a clinical assessment rather than preference alone. The program under development is organized around three stages that share one treatment plan and one team record.

1. Detox planning and stabilization

Some people need medically supervised withdrawal before residential work can begin, particularly after heavy alcohol, benzodiazepine or opioid use. Detox planning covers how that risk is screened and where stabilization should happen.

2. Residential treatment

Residential treatment is the core of the planned program: structured days of individual and group therapy, recovery skills, movement, rest and family involvement, with private single-occupancy accommodation.

3. Aftercare and the return home

Aftercare begins during residential care, not at discharge. It includes continuing therapy referrals, medication continuity where relevant, relapse-prevention planning and family preparation.

Choosing the right starting point

A pre-admission clinical review is intended to consider substance-use history, withdrawal risk, physical and mental health, medications and support at home. When residential care is not the right fit, the appropriate response is a referral to a better-suited service.

Eligible clients who complete the full 120-day program may also qualify for the 30-Day Continued Care Guarantee, a defined return-to-care benefit subject to written terms.

Frequently asked questions

How long is the planned residential program?

Length of stay is set by clinical need. The continued-care benefit applies to clients who complete the full 120-day program; shorter stays may be discussed during assessment.

Does everyone need detox first?

No. Detox or medical stabilization is recommended only when assessment shows significant withdrawal risk.

Is the program open now?

Not yet. Colombia Treatment Center is in development and is not currently accepting patients.
